I also go for that couple. I think Yori is better than Kim for Ron. The movie only mess up the story for me ¬_¬

As for canon, well, that's the way it goes. The creator did say they had it plan from the start that Ron would be together with Kim. Being long time best friends, etc.
Yet regardless of canon (and future episodes), I too think Yori is fit for Ron just as much as Kim. I wouldn't have written my R/Y fics or done my R/Y manipulation art if I didn't believe highly that Yori and Ron make a good couple.
